Kidnapping Ilyas Hakimi by PJAK

It has been nearly 10 years since PJAK kidnapped Ilyas.

one of the oldest cases of kidnapping of Iranian Kurdish children and teenagers that has been raised, is the case of Ilyas Hakimi, son of Fahim and born in 1997 (1376) in Chalderan. Despite raising this issue several times by the Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights Watch and following up on this issue, there is still no news about the fate of this young man. And as usual, PJAK has avoided answering about its Iranian members. According to Ilyas’s father, his son was kidnapped by PJAK on his way to school when he was only 13 years old. Mr. Hakimi told the reporter that his family had no interest in or knowledge about the nature of PKK and PJAK. This group has kidnapped their child and does not answer about his fate.

It is impossible to meet Ilyas

In his short interview with the Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights Watch about the kidnapping of Ilyas and the family’s reaction to this incident Mr. Fahim Hakimi said: “When we noticed that Ilyas did not return home from school, we followed up and found out that PJAK had kidnapped my child. When we went to PJAK’s headquarters in Qandil with great difficulty, they said Ilyas is being trained; but after that we will let you meet him. But I didn’t want my son to be among them at all, let alone that educate him! After that, we visited their headquarters five or six more times, and even when they did not give us the correct answer, we decided to go to Turkey and to demand our child through the offices of the HDP, affiliated with PKK, but unfortunately we reached no results there. It has been nearly 10 years since PJAK kidnapped Ilyas; I had no contact with him, and I do not know where he is, nor have I met him. I don’t even know if he is alive or dead; But PJAK speaks of freedom to me and other Iranian Kurds! My child has been kidnapped and my pursuit has not yielded any result. I don’t know how long I have to wait for my child’s freedom to see him at least one more time.
