PKK evacuated 300 border villages of Duhok

Kurdistan Region Media reported on the latest developments related to the presence of the PKK in the villages of the border areas of Kurdistan Region with Turkey saying as the village of Gelike was also evacuated to the presence of armed members of the PKK because the head of Sarzareh Customs Police was targeted by PKK members in this village last week.

Reports indicate that in Duhok province alone, people of 300 border villages have been displaced by the PKK’s armed presence. They are deserted. This has prevented people from engaging in agriculture and animal husbandry and have been forced to move to the suburbs of cities.
