LOST in PJAK: Rasool Abdullahi (Part 1)

In a special note to the Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights Watch, a former PJAK member examines the forced disappearance and death of Iranian Kurdish teenagers in the PJAK / PKK terrorist group, and provides the watchdog with specific information about them.

It is worth mentioning that all this information has been obtained from the official website of HPG, PKK’s Turkish military wing.

Name: Rasool Abdullahi

Nom de guerre: Avarash Karasu

City: Mako

Date of birth: 1990

Date of membership: 2006 (at the age of 16 and contrary to the principles of international law and human rights)

Date of death: 2010- Hakkari, Turkey

In 2006 when I was stationed in Zap, I saw a child who was isolated and immersed in his own world. He was cleaning his gun when I approached him and taught him how to clean the gun properly. He was cleaning the gun in public and was pointing the gun at himself! The teenager stuttered and could not communicate easily.
He was a child, and his facial hair had just started to grow! I asked his name and he said: “Avaresh, I am from Mako and I am from Jalali tribe”. It was clear that he had joined the group to escape poverty; But he was polite.
I asked him how old he was and he said he was 16 years old. He was involved in fuel smuggling before joining PJAK.
He himself told me that he did not know the PKK at all. Botan and Zagros are areas used by the PKK to get rid of difficult members, as these areas are very difficult to cross. If anyone wants to leave the group, he will be sent to these areas to be practically imprisoned and eventually killed!

The PKK was well aware that Hakkari was not the child’s place and that he could not even utter a single word correctly. But the PKK had employed him as a guard to one of the commanders there!
He was killed in his sleep; Due to the negligence of his supervisor, who had to take care of his life, careless command caused his death. Where is his body? The PKK has been hiding as usual… He is missing like thousands of other PKK members…
