Kurdish athlete dies very young

Siamand Rahman, a Kurdish athlete with a record in the Paralympic Weightlifting and two Paralympic Championships and five World Championships died in hospital due to cardiac arrest. The 31-year-old Kurdish champion from Sheno city, West Azerbaijan Province, was active in weightlifting for the disabled. In his career, he has a record of winning the Olympics in London and Rio, as well as two gold and one silver medal. Mr. Rahman also has three gold medals for Guangzhou, ۱ Inchon and 2 Jakarta.

Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights Watch condolences the death of this great champion to all Iranian society, the sports community, especially the Kurdish community.
