Baseless Accusations, Organized Assassinations, and the Collapse of International Order: When Israel Holds the World Hostage
In a time when the world desperately needs rationality, dialogue, and the rule of law, the Israeli regime’s arrogant, unlawful, and profoundly violent actions are pushing the region to the brink of explosion. The assassination of military commanders and scientists, attacks on civilian and nuclear facilities, and the bombing of residential areas and even medical centers in Iran are all carried out under pretexts that are not only unproven but have also been repeatedly rejected or deemed unsubstantiated by the primary oversight body for nuclear programs, the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
What Does the Agency Say?
In its latest assessments, Rafael Grossi, the Director-General of the IAEA, explicitly stated, “We have no direct evidence of a nuclear weapons program in Iran.” Even with uranium enrichment levels in some Iranian sites reaching 60% (which is technically significant), the IAEA has repeatedly emphasized that it has observed no signs of military nuclear activity or systematic efforts to produce an atomic bomb.
The core question remains: If the specialized international oversight body, with its professional inspectors, rejects such a claim, what evidence does Israel base its accusations on?
According to Article 2, Paragraph 4 of the United Nations Charter, the threat or use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state is prohibited. Recent Israeli attacks against Iran, without UN Security Council authorization, without reliance on self-defense, and in the absence of any credible international reports, constitute a blatant violation of international law.
Even more tragically, medical centers, hospitals, and residential areas have been targeted, which, under the Four Geneva Conventions, are considered war crimes.
While Iran is a signatory to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT) and operates legally under IAEA supervision, Israel has not only refused to sign this treaty but also possesses a secret nuclear arsenal. Can there be a more glaring contradiction?
The adventurous Israeli regime, enjoying de facto immunity provided by certain Western powers and lacking any legal accountability, now sits in a position where it is both the aggressor, the accuser, and the judge.
International organizations, if they remain silent in the face of this trend, must prepare for the gradual death of their legitimacy and credibility.
As a human rights watch organization, referencing the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, International Humanitarian Law, and the Statute of the International Criminal Court, we deem it our duty to declare:
- Israel’s conduct constitutes war crimes and crimes against humanity.
- Netanyahu and the extremist faction governing Israel, with a morbid desire for escalating violence, have normalized the killing of women, children, and civilians.
- The world, if it wishes to avoid a repeat of the tragedies of World War II, must now legally, diplomatically, and systematically rein in Israel.
- Silence and indifference are the greatest betrayals of peace and human dignity.
We call upon all human rights activists, international organizations, and anti-war movements worldwide not to remain silent in the face of this insane and bloody trend.
Inaction in the face of such blatant aggression is tantamount to granting permission for global lawlessness and, ultimately, the meaningless of international law and global peace.
If Israel is not curbed in such behavior; If Netanyahu is not held accountable and prosecuted; And if international organizations do not react appropriately; Perhaps the end of the world is much closer than we imagine.
