“Be the Voice of Justice; A Platform for Kurdistan’s Realities”
With the goal of expanding citizen participation in documenting and tracking human rights violations, the Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights Watch (IKHRW.com) has launched a new section titled “Submit Human Rights Reports” on its official website.
This new platform enables citizens, civil activists, local journalists, families of victims, and anyone who has witnessed or is aware of human rights violations in Kurdish regions to submit their reports, observations, and documentation directly and securely to the Watch team.
According to the Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights Watch, the objective of creating this section is to strengthen the network of grassroots reporters and provide a secure environment for recording field realities. Upon review and verification by the Watch’s editorial and research team, the received reports will be published as reports, news, op-eds, or documentary dossiers, provided they meet professional and human rights criteria.
The Watch emphasized that many cases of human rights violations, particularly in remote and under-reported areas, can only be recorded and pursued through the direct participation of citizens and eyewitnesses. For this reason, the organization invites all Kurdish citizens to play a more active role in documenting field realities.
Users can also submit their notes and analyses regarding social, civil, and human rights issues for publication under their real names or pseudonyms.
The Iranian Kurdistan Human Rights Watch believes that defending human rights is not solely the duty of specialized institutions; rather, through citizen participation and the accurate recording of facts, it can help increase transparency, accountability, and public awareness. From now on, every citizen can act as a human rights reporter, serving as the voice of victims and reflecting the realities of their society.
