An intense exchange of fire took place in the last few hours between the Turkish artillery and that of the Kurdish Workers\u2019 Party (PKK) in north-eastern Syria, according to reports from the National Observatory for Human Rights in Syria.<\/p>\n

The sources cited by the Observatory in the area of \u200b\u200bHasake, Derbasiye, Qamishli and Ayn Arab (Kobane) report an intensification of Turkish military attacks against positions of Kurdish militiamen along the entire north-eastern Syrian belt, in the hands of the PKK supported in the area and by Russia which from the United States.<\/p>\n

For their part, PKK militiamen responded to the fire by bombing positions of the Arab-Syrian forces co-opted by Ankara in the area delimited by the border towns of Tell Abyad and Ras al Ayn with mortars.<\/p>\n

According to local analysts, with the start of the war in Ukraine and the easing of Russian military and political pressure in Syria, Ankara\u2019s forces now have greater freedom to maneuver against PKK positions in both north-eastern Syria and northern Iraq.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
